A slnfolar Occurrence. Tl e man that vends the stick-'eni-tighi-ne er-to-lH-separated cement mo: with a curious experience yesterday morning. He hui a frame-work erected from which were suspended various antique secimens of del f, criss-crossed with ochre marks show ing where the supjoswd fractures ex isted, each wear ing a iwndant presumel to. weigh one hundretl pounds, and alongside his stock of glue was displayexl. He had teen haranguinfT a dusky crow d on the great need of every household, which was to haxe constantly on hand and ready to apply immediately some pre pAraiioit to tiietid everything from a broken dish to a burs ted heart, and ex patiated largely and loudly on the mer its of the particular article that he was trying to sell. By some mishap ke had dropped a liottle of the precious mix ture, spilling it over a good-sized stone. A little darkey, thinking it a tine op srtunity to mend the rents in the back of his jacket, laid down and rolled over in it. but w hen he attempted to rise he was muchly surprised at the wonderful philosophical porter of cohesion, for he was Siuciw laak. i ncjr iwscu '""i "ft and as the semi-liauid had aatu rated his clothing everything was fastened tiightlv to his skin, the cement having turnell to a substance harder than stone. The peddler pointed to this new proof of the virtue of his wares, and exult inglv said : " Sow, I will take this youngster, lwre a hole through his ears and hang lain up on the frame with the rest of mv specimens." Somebody demurred to this, stating that the ears were too tender to sustain such a weight, to which the glue man replied that he would soak them in the cement and then they would be hard enough for anything. " Hy this time the virtue of the glue had be-ome mor3 and more apparent; it had penetrated the lad's system and wonderfully in creased his" strength, and he strutted around with the enormous load as if it were rothing but an oidinary hump. It is fast and there is no getting it off, and now the parents are discussing the subject of what to do w ith him. There are two projositions : one to send him to Barnum as thechampion hump-back, and the other is to feed him on cement until lie petrifies, and then exhibit him as a fossil baby or a Peruvian Idol.
